That cheap Canon 50mm lens is great. I use a Canon 5D mk something and carry a 28mm, a 50mm, and a 100mm, all of them ƒ/2.0 or 1.8. For a lot of shots I want the specific look of ƒ/2.0 on a decent prime lens. I don't actually want an aperture wider than that.
