From the article: "As Tomchuk experienced, if a site isn’t properly using robot.txt, OpenAI and others take that to mean they can scrape to their hearts’ content." The takeaway: check your robots.txt. The question of how much load

I get the nostalgia, but it’s worth noting that modern metallurgy has far surpassed classic knife-making techniques. Industrially-made knives are stronger and hold an edge much better.

The article touches on the impact of AI in this field but doesn’t mention a potential issue: the possibility of AI being used to rewrite text in a way that makes it unrecognisable and impossible to trace.

I don’t think this is the main point of the paper. They’re not claiming that AI is capable of scientific breakthroughs. Rather, they argue that AI excels at summarising vast amounts of existing scientific knowledge.

I have to deal with spotify links sent to me often and this is great. The better link would be to the actual service page, not github repo: https://idonthavespotify.donado.co/ It would be fantastic to have this as an extens

On your #1 issue: it’s a well-known and acknowledged problem. Basically, the current Thunderbird doesn’t have unique message IDs across folders, which causes issues when displaying messages from different folders in threaded view. One of th

Now, it looks almost like a binomial distribution. Yet, an Uber driver may not feel like being in the same bucket as someone worth $499M. The diagram makes the point but misses subtlety.

Correct. From the user's point of view, forward the email confirmation and have it added to your itinerary. Internally, it could use ChatGPT or anything else to parse it and call the import API.
