Just curious, is there a real alternative that: 1. Has customer service 2. Doesn’t charge high fees I feel like those two things are mutually exclusive, the high fees can be thought of as an insurance policy to ensure good cs. The lower fee

My understanding is that these days most technical people are wary of being locked into a single platform, so even though substack is making a pretty compelling walled garden anyone with knowledge of recent SV history is hesitant to dive he

You seem very set on keeping this top level thread on the topic you believe you won the argument on, and are refusing to discuss anything else in a very condescending tone. Just thought you should know your thinly veiled attempts at control

Tbf the pixel phone does have issues making emergency calls, every time they claim to have fixed it we hear another report of an updated phone not being able to connect.

gMaps has really bad direction detection imo, Waze is fantastic. Every time I use gMaps it gets very confused about where I’m facing and will randomly assume I’m turning left or right, I’ve seen this happen on both iOS and android, Samsung,

This is the biggest gotcha that causes people to lose data every day. They try to free up space on their phone only to unwittingly permanently delete photos. The other really annoying thing is you pay $3/m for 200gb or $10/m for 2

This is interesting, they’ll try to tell you it’s because the cellular modem requires extra testing by the carriers and manufacturers, but windows can support upgrades that don’t affect an add-in card cell modem… so what gives?

Does this support 2560x1440p@60Hz x3? Lenovo promised that their thinkpad 14s with the thinkpad thunderbolt 4 dock could do it, but the dock fails to actually consistently display all 3 monitors, with one irregularly flickering.

Not white knighting, as a Jew I find it alarming when false accusations are made of antisemitism because it reduces the sting of the claim when it’s real. But again. Fantastic deflection.
