Even if you don't want to go through the trouble of setting up dockerized containers/VM, I'm always shocked when I see people using Codex/CC on their primary user account which usu. has admin privileges . At least take

If you're willing to do a bit more legwork, PixiJS is also great at handling graphics (WebGL). It's what I used to build my animated jigsaw puzzle game. [1] - https://pixijs.com [2] - https://animated-puzzle

SVG is an under-rated use case for LLMs because it gives you the scalability of vector graphics along with CSS-style interactivity (hover effects, animations, transitions, etc.).

Awesome! Was looking forward to the next issue. Paged Out reminds me a lot of the old-school 2600 Hacker Quarterly periodical back in the 80s. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2600:_The_Hacker_Quarterly

Nice job! I corresponded with Hutchens back in the day about MegaHAL. What made it stand out compared to other Loebner chatbots was that it didn’t just zoom in on a couple of keywords in the user’s input and then run a forward-only chain -

Why would you use an LLM to build a game that already exists? DosBox-X works perfectly for old retro games (Commander Keen, Dangerous Dave, etc) and runs on Macs. https://dosbox-x.com

I wouldn't try to focus too much on the alchemy that makes some posts turn into gold while others remain lead. I will say that I often click on the submitter's profile and if I see very low karma, or karma only related to their ow

I was thinking the same thing. The number of vibe-coded language learning apps I've seen where the developer wasn't fluent in the target languages just makes me shake my head in disbelief.

I use Gemma3 27b [1] daily for document analysis and image classification. While I wouldn't call it a threat it's a very useful multimodal model that'll run even on modest machines. [1] - https://huggingface.co&#

I think this already happens but the threshold might be pretty low - there's a separate shownew page and if it gets sufficient upvotes it appears in the regular "Show HN".

I've never used tonal but it looks really nice! I updated my original comment BTW - I'm so used to seeing inversions being expressed as slash chords C7/B♭ that I originally thought 7ths weren't working!

Good job. Couple things - it seems to struggle with 7th chord inversions, and doesn't appear to handle 9ths at all. There's an old online tool called ChordDisplay that handles these a bit better and also uses web midi as well. I t

Yeah, I think you're right. Asking people to give feedback and contribute instead of just self-promoting is like expecting everyone to maintain a 1:1 torrent ratio - it's just not gonna happen.

I’m not particularly interested in building physical collections, but I have a great appreciation for physical media that’s aesthetically pleasing like the old big box PC games from the ’80s and ’90s. https://bigboxcollection.com
