Oh, I see what you’re saying. I like these types of tests where you incorporate well-known objects from the training data into unusual geometries. Kind of makes me want to take advantage of the multi-image editing capability, since you can

Oh neat, I'd never heard of them. Almost feels like a spiritual predecessor of CDNs, serving optimized assets from existing websites via their servers.

NB doesn't support direct editing of an image. But you can open the image in something like Krita or Photoshop, highlight the part you want to change with a red marker, and then ask Nano Banana to modify that highlighted section. It us

Nice. Back when I lived in Taiwan, several of my students regularly played Magic: The Gathering (魔法風雲會). I’d been playing since 4th edition so I was already very familiar with it. Combined with the fact that I was studying traditional Chi

No shade! I went and checked out of curiosity, since it looks like we’re both using Astro as a static site generator. Most of my articles are pretty media rich and weigh in between 1-2 megs. I do try to be pretty conscientious about asset c

I know flash had its downsides - but messing around with Macromedia Flash to make stupid little animations back in the day was so fun. Plus Silverlight made Flash seem like a dream.

Nice! We were one of the first families on the block to have a 33.6 kbps modem, and were the envy of every filthy peasant who still had a 28.8 back in the day.

If it were 1999, most people would still be browsing the web on their US Robotics 56k modem (at best). This page is about 1 MB of assets (500kb gzip compressed if your browser supported it) , so it would have taken at least a minute just to

Not for me it isn't. Still rocking a LTSC copy of Windows 10 IoT on an older desktop. It's on the fixed lifecycle policy - no new features (to me that's a bonus) but still gets security patches until 2032.

I’ve had a lot of success using LLMs to help with my Three.js based games and projects. Many of my weird clock visualizations relied heavily on it. It might not be a game engine, but it’s the de facto standard for doing WebGL 3D. And since

Timdle's UI is a bit wonky but the NYT puzzle is very straightforward - you just drag and drop each event into the timeline. The reason it's weekly is because they likely are curating them by hand.

Our circle of friends tends to gravitate toward games (such as Balderdash [1]) that don’t necessarily give an asymmetric advantage to the people who own them and likely have a lot more hours of experience. [1] - https://en.wikipe

Love this. I did something similar myself. I wanted to create a sequel to one of my favorite old PC trivia edutainment games for MS-DOS that I played as a kid, RedHook's Revenge, which came out in the early ’90s. This was decades later

Honestly I'd heard so much seemingly conflicting information about the quality of 4.7 that I've got an override in CC to stay on Opus 4.6 (1 million token context) for the time being. For reference, in the .claude/settings.l

Yeah the dragon one is just a complete mess. The car is sideways but the WHEEL is oriented in a first-person perspective. Seems like a case of overfitting with regard to the thousands of pelican bike SVG samples on the internet already.

I could see that. I’ve found that the more specificity you add to your prompt and less freedom you give Claude Code to kind of just “do its own thing”, the better your results will be. FWIW, there’s also an official frontend-design skill

My biggest issue with LLM‑assisted webpages (Claude Code is especially egregious) is the lack of respect for basic web content accessibility guidelines. The number of dark‑mode sites I’ve seen where the text (and subtext) are various shades

That makes sense. I almost thought maybe one way to do it might be to use generative AI with a ControlNet to create a more photorealistic 3D version of each of the pixel-art environments, and then use those images with your approach.... the

The goal isn’t the prompt itself. The test is whether a prompt can be expressed in such a way that we still arrive at the author's intent , and of course to do so in a way that isn't unnatural. The prompts despite their variation
