There are no "floodgates" to open. FYI if you're an RN, you can get an EB-2 I-140 approved without any sponsorship, under the National Interest Waiver. They're considered to be in perpetual shortage. The fact that people

>The cost of delivering the video decreases over time and unlike Netflix which has to pay for content YouTube doesnt which gives it tremendously better margins. Youtube has to share it's revenue with content creators, unlike Netflix

This is a classic argument but it doesn't hold when one needs to work for their basic needs in order to survive (food, clothing, shelter, healthcare). If basic needs are gauranteed in some way for everyone, then yes, you don't nee

They assume YouTube's content costs will scale similarly to Netflix, which doesn't appear correct to me, mainly because YouTube content is largely user generated and I would assume orders of magnitude more new content is uploaded

Tipping isn't the problem here. It's about establishing baseline pay. Restaurant staff shouldn't be paid lower than minimum wage, which is already pretty low and be expected to make it up with tips.

Interesting that they choose Kotlin instead of Julia or swift for differential programming. Is there a resource that talks about various applications of differential programming ? I am only aware of its use in optimization and reinforcement

Video calling is still pretty bad compared to the reliability of phone calls. I wish there was some paid video call service that offered phone call like reliability over any kind of network.

It's easier to leave the borders alone and allow free movement of people and trade. Borders will eventually become irrelevant. Like the EU

The disruption is usually not worth it once generations have built their lives and have built their homes based on an existing border regime. Read about the India Pakistan partition. How would you feel if you have to leave behind everything

Yeah you just need an accelerometer and you can find out if your damper is broken with an FFT. OEMs are just very price sensitive so only the expensive vehicles will get this, even if it's a cheap component.

As an Indian on H1B I am so happy to hear this. This will reduce staffing company abuse. However the minimum wage levels right now are so unrealistically high it might not even matter as these slots will go unfilled.
