Jerks do push all the buttons to make everyone else wait. It's why newer elevator systems are often configured to ignore those if too many floor buttons get pressed at once.

For this, I blame Reddit. Yes, I thought the same when I was new.

Shouldn't have to replace the aircon/heat-pump components, only the controller hardware. OP indicated that a new control system would be about $1700 (I assume AUD), or 14-17% of their 10k-12k estimate for the whole build. Unless t

You got all the same answers I did, which helps me determine how good my sleuthing skills are. I used exclusively strings, either API routes, error codes, or version/build numbers.

Thanks a bunch to you and thenickdude for the test command and config to change. I have an old VPS that isn't worth trying to update to a newer OS image, because I'm already (slowly) migrating things off of it before the current p

Oy. The morally correct way would be to, at minimum, allow subscribers to opt out. It might even be acceptable if opting out was a "feature" of their paid plans. The tiniest consolation is that the revised TOS doesn't apply u

A lot of personal sites such as this one are built on a public repo someplace, and one is often invited to submit typo corrections etc. upon finding the source. In this case, though, my search dead-ended at code for your custom, minimalist

Ooooof, at least in the genres I tend to listen to, SME (and numerous sublabels thereof) are basically impossible to avoid. I can take advantage of how low streaming payouts are, I guess? It's almost like refusing to buy their stuff.

They might be preventing new malicious actors from signing up. Maybe. Catching a lot (anecdotally, from this thread) of legit users along the way. Meanwhile, what have they done to catch and ban malicious actors who passed verification lo

I can't say I'm surprised that Microsoft has stolen yet another idea, but I am astonished that they didn't go to more effort to obfuscate that fact. I'm publicizing this through my networks. More people need to know that the 's' in 'Microso
