Yeah, I was also thinking about it A LOT. We kinda have a little bit of it with some coding harnesses giving model access to LSP, but I think that we can insert this knowledge on a lower level if we find a clever way to somehow utilize it d

I've always thought that it is kinda weird that we spend exactly the same amount of compute to calculate both "fork" tokens and "lock" tokens. I think that with grammar-aware sampling / constrained decoding [0]

I remember some old sci-fi book or short story (don't remember which one) that had a spaceship with a separate spinning section specifically for a toilet. You would enter it, activate it, wait until it accelerated to a certain RPM, do

It is totally fair, but for a lot of average non-tech people, AI == "something you can prompt in a natural language". I personally prefer to avoid the term altogether in favor of more specific terms, like: - LLM - chess engine - i

Genuine question: how to distinguish yourself from the stream of slop? I am also annoyed by the endless stream of articles and projects related to LLM-assisted coding. Not because I dislike LLM-assisted coding as an idea, but because it

Is it weird that I look at most of the offered pairs and think "meh, both are ok, I guess", but do not feel any preference one way or the other? Like, some fonts look to weird/unusual that I dislike. But most look just fine

Why would you need powerful models if you give them such mechanical, stifling instructions? I think that the result would be much better if you told them what exactly do you want in plain text.

First of all, I'm not advocating for this claim, I'm merely trying to clarify what other people say. That being said, I don't think that your analogy is valid in this case. > GitHub and Windows and IDEs need to be open sou

I think that the claim that they make is that once a model is "contaminated" with GPL code, every output it ever produces should be considered derived from GPL code, therefore GPL-licensed as well.

I get that this is an art project that is supposed to look cool and not necessarily be practical, but... For practical purposes just having 3 "arcs" (hours, minutes, seconds) would be much more readable. The "arc" idea a

All this talk about AI being "too agreeable" makes me worried that they will make it less agreeable, which will basically force me to justify myself to a freaking clanker, while performing actual practical tasks. For example, I do

Tool calls can have JSON schema enforced on lower level (token sampling). Although, I'm not sure if major providers do it, but I don't see any reason why they wouldn't.
