I’ve used Twingate for this and found it very easy to setup and use. No idea whether experts consider it a good option.

You’re absolutely right about the quality of the submitted article. It’s written like low-grade clickbait tech “journalism”. It’s even worse than the battery-breakthrough-of-the-week university PR pieces that get posted here. I imagine the

I can't compare to Scala, but unless you know you need an API for a web frontend then I would take a look at tRPC or other "zero API" systems (Blitz is another one, but I'm a little unclear on where they are in their piv

And if you want types then Typescript is a lot nicer than using Python's typing stuff. I used to love Python's list comprehensions etc, but since JS got .map, .filter, and all the other new things I really don't miss them. My

Adding to this: My Dell Ultrasharp U4320Q (an excellent productivity monitor IMO) works well with Lunar on my M1 Macbook Pro. Edit: The monitor is connected via USB-C. Haven't tried with using my Macs HDMI port. https://www.

Yeah that's a bit rough. Though I think for most people the cloud solution is the way to go, though - even if it's an evil Saas-recurring-revenue play. I was close enough to a previous team that used to admin an on-prem Jira (~7 y

If you sign up to Jira today and start a new project, you'll get the options of a simple workflow with a minimum of fields. The beginning statuses are basically "to do", "in progress", and "done". There&#x

Yeah I've been defended Jira here in the past, too. My opinion is that Jira reflects the organisation that manages it. It's basically a whole lot of customizable UI and permissions hanging off a user-defined state machine. You can

Twitter is free to ban Trump or others, regardless of whether Elon Musk owns Twitter. Whether to implement a ban is a decision their management can take, or not take.

I’m at a tiny startup doing SOC 2 Type 2 at the moment. As far as I can tell it’s a complete joke. We have written policies but no-one knows what they are and they are never referred to ever. The app is riddled with SQL injection and who kn

You hit the nail on the head with this comment. And not only is trust a feature, it’s a requirement for society. It’s a deep part of human nature to trust, and trust can’t be removed from how people manage to function in groups.

NextJS is still looking pretty good if you're in React land. There's new competition, like Remix, Astro, etc... but I don't see any of them putting NextJS to bed. I'm starting a new application, and I'm still choosi
