He's saying detecting skittle colors is "trivial" in the field of computer vision, and he would be correct. A 50 line Python script with a popular classifier library would solve this problem with high accuracy. This is perhap

It's not working for me. Do I have to use Chrome on Android? I just tested on Firefox Linux, Chromium Linux, Safari iOS, and Firefox Android.

Who uses AMP? I've only ever heard of it on Hacker News but never seen it when using Google or any news websites. What actions does a normal user have to take to use AMP?

No problem, I'll just add installation instructions to my software for users to disable notarization. Perhaps even an AppleScript, .pkg installer, or Terminal command to copy-paste to make the process easier.

My statements still stand. The fact that there are many users of the hardware simply means that there might be many potential funders of a feature like this, or that it is more likely for someone to fix the problem for free in the near futu

Complaining about it on HN ain't gonna fix your problem. Either wait for someone to fix it, pay someone to fix it now (perhaps along with other funders), fix it yourself (perhaps with a hack/workaround), use MacOS instead, use dif

That's fine with me. The two concepts of "open-source" at hand are drastically different. The lack of ability to verify the website's source code doesn't prevent me in any way from seeing its content which helps me

What's the point of rendering characters that can't be understood by the reader? I can't read chinese, cyrillic, native american scripts, etc, so it's not worth the 12MB in apps and definitely websites.

As long as the browser is GPL-compatable it's okay. Chrome isn't, and Chromium and Firefox might not be either due to binary blobs for DRM stuff.

Hasn't OpenTTD been ported to JS in 2015? https://epicport.com/en/ttd Regardless, a WebAssembly port is perhaps more useful since improvements can be merged from upstream more easily.
