In my experience, this isn’t even close to an Oracle-specific practice. I thought it was widely-accepted wisdom that if you want to get a BIG raise, you have to shop around/move companies. We love to hope and pretend employers will act

Yikes, seeing as I just signed up with Backblaze and uploaded about 3TB the last week, I was a bit worried there for a minute. AT&T gigabit customers are on unlimited plan for anyone else seeing this who is a customer, see https:/

Which OS and file system did you choose? I recently did similar with an old server and Freenas, but I am still not sure if I have a safe (enough) system overall. I chose RAIDZ2 with 4 4TB WD Red drives, ECC RAM, seems to be working well so

My dad needed to play a video file sent to him by a lawyer recently. I assume it wasn’t QuickTime compatible. Well, he couldn’t get in touch with me and installed some crazy video player he paid for on the App Store. I was shocked. Literall

The maker in the article must be an incredibly disciplined and smart person. I’m so impressed. FWIW, I’m a software developer, and music is my biggest hobby. I bought a foot controller at one point to interact with Ableton, and while I had

I’m surprised there’s a need for this kind of thing or even much of a difference between most sans serif fonts. It seems there are dozens if not hundreds of open source programming fonts which are all quite legible.

An Uber driver did this with me recently. It was late at night (bar pickups). The driver was an older, professional looking gentleman but told me he was tired and “had not driven in a few months”.
