My pleasure, always glad to help /s. On a more serious note, yes, the layoffs are bad and I am sorry to hear about it, but when I see people in comments posting about their negative experience with the service , I feel like it's

Just skimming through the comments, there is some negative sentiment about Booking.com. So I came to say, that over the years, I've used Booking.com numerous times, without any single problem. Yes, there are dark patterns (13 people ar

I believe you can force low QoS processes to run only on E cores, but you cannot force high QoS processes to run exclusively on P cores. Even with high QoS set, you can find your process on E cores.

I guess some people can train their muscle memory quicker than others, as I've found myself to accommodate to changes in keyboard layouts quite fast. I also like the island-style keyboards on newer Thinkpads nicer to write on, clickier

This is the coolest project/product I've seen lately. Great idea to program the module via the website (+works offline!). For less ambitious hobbyist projects, there are USB type C decoy modules on Aliexpress for around $1 USD eac

Was thinking the same. How do they know that they really are communists? Did they teach them to shout "death to capitalist pigs"? :) Jokes aside and looking at it from other perspective, perhaps they all really are communists? As

Oh Google Talk was sweet :) Also about Duo - even though I agree that it's kinda half-assed, strange interface app, it consistently has lower latency and better video quality than WhatsApp or Signal. I use it wherever my contact has it

Have to disagree here. Cloud apps (in a form of web apps) demand more CPU performance, not less! Apart from specialized apps that really do a lot of computing (rendering, modelling, model-training) that can easily be done in cloud, most app

Thank you for pointing out Tailscale. It seems like it's exactly what I was looking for, with free tier being completely sufficient. I set up smarthome network (zigbee2mqtt running on orangePi) and also endpoint in neighbouring country

I meet in person people I care about, and talk to them. We exchange our recent life experiences, or not, depending on context. I don't care what people I don't care about do. For documenting my experiences, I have photo album on m
