This is the coolest project/product I've seen lately. Great idea to program the module via the website (+works offline!). For less ambitious hobbyist projects, there are USB type C decoy modules on Aliexpress for around $1 USD each, in 9V, 12V, 15V and 20V versions. Not programmable, but should do the work.
