Polar opposite of my experience. My nest was easy to install and has worked perfectly ever since. It does do a +15 minutes if I adjust, but that is just telling me it will take that amount of time to change the temperature e.g. the temp is

I really don't understand the mentality that eating and/or cooking is a "waste of time". Not picking on you specifically it is a common idea and part of the idea behind products like Soylent. I prefer to enjoy the moment

Do you really believe that eating only 50 extra calories a day will result in someone gaining 5 lbs in one year? 50 calories is about 14 grapes. How many guys are in the gym everyday and eating way above their daily needs to try and gain we

Be cautious removing and/or avoiding jQuery. I was once using it for something very small in a project and I figure what the heck I can just use vanilla JS for it so I removed it. I then had several bugs because every browser has its q

Thats a great link, but I think the project is named highlander not because its the only such project with this function, but because its function is for there to be only one instance of process running.

This is the first thing I thought of as well as I've been using keybase myself for a little while now and am very happy.

Why not just let the animals pasture and eat grass instead of feeding them grain? Factory farms are the big problem.

At first I thought it was going to be a framework like this https://medialab.github.io/artoo/ , but it seems a little more nefarious than that.

Definitely reading. Videos take too long to extract information from. This is especially true if it is a topic I'm somewhat familiar with. I can just skim while reading until I hit something I'm unfamiliar with or if I find I'

This is true, but certain languages are better at tackling certain problems e.g. I wouldn't recommend trying to write a multi-threaded application in PHP. I could build a house by hammering in all the nails with the back of a screw dri

I've never had an issue like you describe with dates before. I've always output them in the csv in Y-m-d format and that has worked as expected. I should have been more precise and said if your data isn't using the set of fea

Not surprising since their service and customer service is pretty amazing. I'm still not 100% sure how they can be profitable at their current prices though.
