you should just pick a language and build a project. The language doesnt matter. You will probably get involved with many languages in the future. Every language has its purpose.

I will not compare Google and Microsoft, but Microsoft has a long tradition of "coming late to the party and remain the last man standing" i.e. Google has a reason to worry in the long term if Microsoft decided to take search seriously.

if you dont use prototype the function will not belong το the new object you create, therefore you will not be able το call the function from settimeout, which was the problem the author assumed το have.
