>Vim/Kakoune users could have their help menu _be_ the keyboard. Every action changes all of your keys to whatever is possible. Wow, this is an amazing idea. Think of all the other unimagined possibilities if we had real innovation

Some other people in this thread suggested having a keyboard with little e-ink displays on the keycaps. Then the character map could be completely user-defined. Then you could just have a big bank of keys off to the side to select your desi

Huge agree. I knew it was quanta just from the headline. For the life of me I will never understand who their target audience is. People who claim to like math but cant actually be trusted to learn any??

Okay, so we need better keyboards then. If a character is annoying to type, that is a keyboard problem, not a language or charset problem. So let's improve the keyboard. Currently we are stuck with the garbage qwerty keyboard (and var

OS aesthetics just seem so bland and meek these days. I think Win7 Aero/OSX Lion/Compiz cube thing was the peak and after that everything became homogenized and boring. I want my computer to look cool, goddammit

As a non-Canadian, the Quebecois seem to have a weird cultural narcissism. It's like there are all these little petty bureaucratic foistings of Quebec on the rest of Canada. Music that nobody wants to listen to, a language that nobody

I don't think you get it. Young men today grow up almost entirely in female-dominated spaces. That is not normal historically. In fact it would be strange if it didn't lead to any pathologies.

Well I don't think that would optimize for weird but good prose. Maybe you could train it on Cormac McCarthy or Thomas Pynchon or something like that

The amount of churn in (American) math education is bizarre. New hip curricula, textbooks, etc every few years, and yet the average high school graduate cannot prove the pythagorean theorem.

This is simply incredible, I would love to read something novel-length like this. But unfortunately it also generates a lot of banal text, as in some of the other examples in this thread. I wonder if there is a way to optimize for the weird
