Posting on a popular forum seems to short-circuit all that and get actual results probably because it starts making some executive squirm. If I'm running a business and losing money because your service is fubar I really don't giv

I have a Mazda and I love it. Also have no idea what OP is talking about. Steering wheel has next-prev track buttons also the volume wheel can be gently slid left/right to do the same thing. I love the button approach Mazda takes. Stuf

Number one reason: You're not offering me enough good reasons to leave my current job. I don't think HR and software recruiting has really caught up to the reality that many developers by their mid-30's are sitting on a milli

Does Vala have any use outside of Gnome? I remember my buddy writing it circa 2008ish and it seemed pretty niche back then.

You can tap the sign as much as you want, that battle was lost a long time ago. REST is just the common term people use for HTTP+JSON RPC.

I haven't played Stratego since I lost my board when I was in third grade and brought it to play during recess... Is there a good online version these days?

Bingo. Most background check companies seem like literally the scummiest things in the world. I have no problem with a background check, but I don't trust these companies at all.

Definitely a forgotten program. Another one from that era (that actually survived until Win 10 I just learned) is the "Briefcase". It was basically a primitive file syncing tool for multiple devices.

Yea but they didn’t explain why its bad. Software devs complaining about “bad software” is basically an industry trope at this point but often it just means “Its too complex and I don’t understand why that complexity is probably necessary”

Part of the beauty of BigCo is you are being paid to deal with the inefficiency. You have two options sit back, rest and vest or try and streamline things (often a political rather than technical endeavor). Both can be lucrative journeys.
