Indeed! More generally, functions are not only about abstraction, but also about decomposition. The only thing that may hurt readability is when the decomposition itself is too much nested. Usually, it's best to split a large task pure

I just had a look at it, and this thesis is really well-written. A beautiful piece of work, with the right mix of concrete examples, abstract concepts, and meta-concepts that describe why and how the author developed their concepts. Can

It doesn't have to be that way. There are certain common patterns in communities who stay healthy without losing their ideals. Does the Chaos Computer Club (CCC) in Germany count as intentional community? This community is ever growing

Yes, that was exactly my line of thinking. One minor nitpick: f(x)=1/x maps [-1,1] to [-inf,-1]u[+1,+inf] ... that is, 1 and -1 are in both sets and mapped onto themselves. However, this detail doesn't affect the argument much.

Why 3 more? Grandparent already counted one of the border points, so the correct number is either 1 more or 2 more, depending on whether you consider the floating point number -0 to be in the closed interval [0,1] or not. See my other posti

The correct answer is 1,065,353,217. You have an off-by-one error in the following line of argument: > The number of values between the two is 0x3f800000 - 0x00000000 == 0x3f800000 This should be corrected to: > The number of val
