I understand this perspective, believe me I do (I'm the post author). I'm also a back-end developer with very little design know-how. However, my point is just to bring awareness to the idea that design should be part of the product creatio

Respectfully, I disagree with your assessment of their business. Anybody who has ever worked for an enterprise startup knows that requests for custom installations and implementations of your product are a dime a dozen. No startup will ever

I appreciate you linking to this article but I wonder what you were doing browsing the archives of Esquire. To be honest, I did not see much of a conclusion from the article, but I enjoyed reading it. Also, I thought I would let you know th

Why is your conclusion that it can't scale? You are making 20% profit on these chairs. There are many people you can pay 30% of your margin and they'd be happy. You can automate the buying and selling, sourcing people who can do the "heavy

When I worked at Myspace, there was one (small) team dedicated to creating and maintaining internal services. The platform was called "slayer," short for service layer. It was built very well, for the most part. All the documentation and ca

I went through a similar situation earlier this year. I think it's pretty much always better to cut your losses, especially for your mental health. Most of the time, it's just not the right idea and you'll drive yourself crazy trying to mak

I've just installed Taazr on our machines, and it's already helped. I got an email alert when a user hit a function where we expected an object to always be defined but it was not (undefined is not an object). I was able to fix the problem

Just did, there's also happycow. None of these sites have very much content, they clearly are very old, and tattle is not tailored specifically for vegetarians and vegans - we're just good for those types of communities.

For 1, I guess we need to know what % of consumers use credit cards/would prefer to use credit cards vs. cash only. With 600m CCs in circulation in the US, I do not think it's fair to say that customers who pay with credit/debit cards is a
