I hear this and it makes sense but when I actually go about implementing it, it quickly falls apart. Most apps are UI, remote requests and maybe some storage. What do you put in the common core? Android does HTTP requests one way. iOS does

There's an accompanying blog post at https://zserge.com/posts/fenster/ This author has some pretty cool stuff, like a tiny alternative to Firebase https://zserge.com/posts/pennybase/

Homebrew was kind of slow, at one point, but I find that it works pretty well these days. Still, this is pretty cool and competitions is always good. Interestingly, I always imagined that a would-be replacement would come written in Swift.

Would you mind expanding on what your friend does? Sounds like energy trading which is something I’ve been taking a look at. I’m just curious.

Ur/Web has some incredible ideas. The main ones being: * HTML fragment type and literals. It's analogous to React's JSX and helps you write statically-checked and type-safe HTML. * SQL literals. Sort of like LINQ in C#. This

You missed the point. Us not polluting is, obviously, great news. What we had to do to get to get here is the bad news. We chose to invest cash we don't have in fixing a problem we don't (really) cause and to which we don't (

That's just wrong. If China (29%) and the US (14%) waved the said wand we'd cut down emissions by almost 50% and would be looking at a completely different scenario.

I think the parent comment was talking about the companies. Instead of re-investing profits into the company -- long-term thinking -- they just pass them over to the investors -- short-term wins.

That's a very reasonable approach. Sort-of like what Substack does on the podcast feeds. Do you think having a feed exclusively for subscriber posts would fit the use-case, though? I'd expect the feed to include both public and pr
