Thank you for explaining! I guess that is plausible (and much less maddening than the matter-of-fact FAQ page).

So Chrome on MacOS is more secure than Edge or Firefox on the same OS and gets 1080p while the other two don't. But it is not as secure as Chrome on Linux? I don't get it. What is Chrome on MacOS doing differently from Chrome on L

Yeah, HD, but not "Full HD". The page has "HD (720p)" as max for all linux browsers. For each of the other OSes you have at least one browser with 1080p (Chrome at least). Why this restriction?

An interesting deep dive with code into how sidekiq job processing in ruby works. Articles like these are a great way of reading (or skimming?) code and absorbing patterns without having to puzzle everything together yourself. Would also b

Yes, thank you! And Quine spoke about „the value of a bound variable“ if I am not mistaken which seems like a minor point, but there has to be some universe of discourse and some quantification has to go on for a variable to be bound. This

Interesting, I heard a story once that you can catch bats with keys: Put a bunch of keys in a sock and throw that in the air. If there is a bat near enough it might dive for and grab the object, then it gets drawn to the ground because the

Cool, have been searching for something like this. Small suggestion: would put on the page what the name abbreviates. Or is "When are you free" so universal? (I didn't get it before seeing your post, but am not a native speak

Yes, I want to highlight what you say about large companies. ruby really shines, I think, if you are a solo dev or a small team, where everybody is on the same page and the codebase is completely understood. It is also good for libraries wi

Yes, if you take distributed to just mean "the same code on multiple machines". The GP above probably means "different code on different machines interacting" which brings its very own set of problems.
