If you looks around other comments, people are suggesting alternatives. freetaxusa has my vote. Also I would bet that every town in the country with more than a couple thousand people has an office downtown where someone will file for you

I guess it depends on what we're calling "hard work". I think most software devs have already done lots of different types of hard work to get where they are. Going to school, doing intern work, finding a job and learning new

Do people still hate jQuery? I feel like the consensus is that that jQuery was a great tool for the time, but is not so critical today. Yeah, we've all seen spaghetti code monstrosities that involve lots of jQuery, but it's just a

I think that it can work. IMO ActiveRecord is a perfect use of inheritance. You get tons of useful functionality out of the box, you don't have to worry about what that code looks like, and it's easy to extend or modify it. But of

I'm sure you already know this, but that is not censorship. By definition, censorship is done by a government or some other outside entity. In the case of video games, it's the companies themselves making these changes to make the

I think for many people in communities like this, it's easy to just place the blame on the rest of the community. If dozens of people are participating, they don't think their actions count for much. As for the people running the

Well the new sprites are certainly an improvement from the last time they remade these games, but I still think it's a step down. I don't really get what they're doing. I fell in love with FF6 at a young age, and huge part of

I really don't understand Brave. What special thing do they offer that people actually want? The main concrete selling point seems to built-in ad blockers, but we've had that for ages in every other browser. They have some crypto

My relatively small city has free public transit, it's very nice. There isn't a big homeless population though. A quick Google search shows that quite a few bigger cities are also doing it for free.

Yeah, it's sad. I would like to play mobile games, but every time I check it out it's the same thing. There's an initial cool gameplay idea that's fun for ~1 hour that is then stretched into eternity, which makes it ulti

I think this debate is too often a false dichotomy. There's a huge range of choices between never letting kids leave your sight until they're 18, and letting them ride a subway by themselves at age 9. Parents are currently leaning
