I was actually asking an honest question. I do not think I'm giving up on my responsibilities. It's just that does serving as a proxy to YouTube really help better than some reasonable weekly limit?

FOMO? Potential social isolation? I have just a 2yo and a t-6m so I do not have to worry about these things. Yet the way you handle it sounds a bit too strict. You sure that maybe strict limits on screen time and YouTube together with speak

After reading the negative comments I feel like a misfit. We have two standups a day and it has been great so far. After a year into this social appocalipse I am just happy to see faces. We do not have any issues with severe noise or hard

That is wierd. Base k includes numbers 0,...,k-1. For example 101 is a valid number in base 2 which is 2^2 + 2^1. Using that logic, base 1 would only contain 0, hence it should not be able to expresss more values that 0. Is your example act

Such a great idea! I'd personally consider using busybox in WASM instead of reimplementing a shell. Quick Google search found [1]. Have you considered that? [1] https://tbfleming.github.io/em-shell/

Nice corner case. It's pretty much useless, it would contain just a single value. Is it even valid base?

I've just tried it on 2014 MacBook Pro with Intel Iris GPU. It seems it bit more sluggish than the built in Terminal app. No hard numbers, yet simply resizing a window is visibly slow or "accidentally" catting 100k line txt f

Nice burn. Joking aside, I agree. There is so many things you could achieve while successfully impersonating someone. Seems like the best you can do in academia is to ruin someone's career. In this case it seemed fortunately "harm

Exactly. I struggle hard with this topic. I feel like being here, perceiving the world. Yet, if I simulated every molecule of my body, the simulated me would seemingly "feel" the same things, think likewise. It feels there is more

That's like monopolies, right? The ultra right argument is that they are harmless, because it's easy to disrupt them. In practice that hardly works, due to nasty business practices and lobbying. On the other hand this argument wor

We need to stop tolerating these kind of tinfoil conspiration theories. It does not even make economical sense. If you are the first to come up with a cure for that disease you will make huge profit compare to the rest of the industry. Espe

Such a great reply. It goes without saying that I do not intend to force programming upon my kids. It's more about me being worried that nowadays it's much harder for them to just start by themselves as I did. When I was writing m
