The conditions are correlated with the changing seasons so it's only logical to consider things on the other side of the equator. I suspect that all the effects will be gone around the equator where the differences between the months a

Some of the correlations are based on environmental factors that change with the seasons, i.e. light, temperature, etc.

While on the topic of astrology, people might find it interesting to read about IMO the definitive study that shows it's bunk [1]. In it you can see that they took a lot of "time twins" (people born within a small time window

It says 55 conditions are correlated with the month, out of 1688. That's a rather small effect. The skepticism is well-warranted IMO. Also 39 of them have been shown to exist before this study so this is not strictly new knowledge eith

I think it's mostly because it's so long and somewhat convoluted. "Благодаря" has 4 syllables while "мерси" only has 2. It's similar to saying "thanks" instead of "thank you" but that c

What boggled my mind is that in this day and age there could still be tubes within the human body that we don't know about! How is this possible?

I also forgot to point out that their robot is capable of running in a staggered manner [1] and the results are much cleaner than non-staggered action [2]. You can practically feel the second robot nearly tear itself apart even at lower spe

We can't possibly know what the researchers have actually done in their study but I think it's safe to say that symmetrical action is a lot easier to wrap your head around (it essentially becomes a 2D problem). That's why a s

To your first point, wouldn't a robot like that benefit from staggering the action of the legs? Instead of X impact at one point in time, have X/2 impact at two points in time? Would that create too much strain? For my conclusion

I'm not talking about power here. I'm talking about flexibility though. I think it won't be a stretch to think the hind legs range of motion could be extended by 10-15 degrees so the hind legs could hit a point further along

No one seems to be discussing how this can be improved! Here are a few points: 1. Real cheetahs don't run like that. The action of both pairs of legs is staggered for smoother motion and control. Check this out - https://www

One problem of the "car idle" in terms of humans is that it takes almost constant attention to make sure you don't bump into the cars in front. Compare that to the speed-up/break/slow-down which allows time to relax
