When Adobe shut down its activation servers for CS2, they released a fully offline version of CS2 with pre-activated keys, which they also released. This is available on the Internet Archive and it could actually help some folks. This is on

Thank you for sharing. This is awesome. To everyone here who wants to try running OpenVMS natively today, they can run it on an x86-64 machine (includes AMD processors). Check out VMS Software and apply for a community license.

I've actually seen this particular library used (and misused and abused). People tried to offload I/O and data heavy tasks on it and was a spectacular fail, with multiple threads getting blocked and people having to frequently adj

Lack of maintenance suggests that stable working drivers were never there? Or that means the interfaces are volatile? The kernel developers are just making things worse if they want no compatibility across the kernel releases unless they ha

I do not want to comment in particular about Itanium. But I have a slew of concerns around old hardware removal, especially drivers like the QLogic 10GBE NICs gone[1]. It means that old software that could potentially virtualize Linux with

This prevents them from actually misusing their certificate on blanket spying programs. Every browser that allows you to configure your trusted list in a more manageable way is one more hurdle these CAs have to cross.

Then a first time setup may be okay. People assume everything is safe because there's a green lock icon but the situation must change for improving the actual users privacy. While dialogue fatigue is true, browsers can take care of off

I disagree with the current approach. Corporate users do not have a control over this, nor will people where governments try to propose a law forcing people to accept crony CAs to the trusted list.

In theory, you know whom you are talking to. In practice though, every company and authoritarian government wants to sniff, be it through https proxies or enterprise-wide certificates.

I've talked about TLS before, it is a bane on the Internet in its current form. Here is what users need from any browser that cares about the user: - An option to not use OS supplied root certificates. Instead, to customize and set up

We need an events w/ providers framework. If you can afford to put your providers credentials and build all these integrations, it will work. You need to provide reasonable abstractions between them (Uber/Lyft use the same abstrac

I think what someone needs to do is integrate an events/trigger system and add SARIMA based normalization. Then we're looking at a DataDog replacement.

Try adding anything with quotes and multiple lines, and you'll quickly realize that YAML works better than JSON here. JSON as-is has fewer types and some things are better realized with the JSONNET way than stock.
