Someone will need to get ROCm on MacOS, or something like that. God, I really hope AMD goes out of the deal with Apple as well. I'd rather people abandon macOS early than have to put up with Apple imposed implementations like Metal, HL

Sounds like AMD and Intel should sever their ties too.

Emphasis on `if usable` I don't think the general crowd will adapt itself to go on to Apple's stack unless it is radically better. Till Apple gets its developers to use what it makes, by enforcing it on its App Store, like the way

Now I'd want some version of NodeJS that runs on this and without V8 :)

Codecs teach you if the high fidelity of the data you store may not be as important as you'd think it is, and sometimes you'd be able to process all of that with a fraction of the compute power and cost involved.

Good. Want more people to understand how compression works. Things like motion estimation, encoding the differences in frames, all that stuff is magic to the uninitiated. :) But this stuff is absolutely worth learning and every engineer sho

I also think ICANN is a very corrupt entity now, with very bad governance at the moment.

Too much emphasis on interfaces than on programmability. I don't even know if they follow their own rules too. Also, they define DELETE as idempotent, which is a little different from how some of us write APIs.

I also think that the everyday super hero, for all purposes is not available in movies any more. What happened to movies like Volcano or Speed?

Search Quality is so hard, it's hard to make everyone happy. Wish every Search engine had an easy to use personal option (IoC). Not that I defend Google by any means, but it's hard to get everything right with a system like this.

More like 'Hot Coffee at Hotel XXX'. But in all seriousness, imagine using the Apple card for this, and then it comes up with a logo which says exactly what it is, heh :) The best way to tackle that is to own a media company, and

Love these names. Juice jacking, USB condoms and what not. Sometimes I feel we need more funny sounding names across the tech industry.

Looks like an upgrade, for sure. I'd look at it if they did a few more things: 1) Ryzen Options; Icelake Options 2) Regular USB 3 Ports and 3.5mm Jack 3) Make the Touchbar Optional. 4) Do not solder stuff to the Board.

If it's a real language, it's got to work on Windows. Having written a lot of portable code in C on both Unix and Windows, I can say that the reason I fell in love with Golang and Rust was because they had out of the box Windows s

Neat. The list art of taking down dictations fast. Wish I knew it in school (and that they had allowed it in school). I hated dictation but for some people, it's a job, I guess.
