IRC usage stats are really bad. Steady decline from 1 million users in 2003 to 400k in 2012. In a time where we're talking about communication apps with hundreds of millions of users, not even having a million is pretty telling to me.

Yup, being indistinguishable from native has been the absolute priority for the project. We think we managed to do it for the apps we built but we took shortcuts in the process. The two open source versions of navigator definitely don'

Right now React Native packager bundles everything in one file but we're actively working on splitting it into many different files and supporting require.ensure() in order to asynchronously load modules.
