Not sure about iPod but many players like the cowon iaudio or sandisk sansa series act just like USB drives. So you just drag and drop songs to or from any computer so its easy to share songs with friends.

Factor has not been related to JVM in any way for many years now. The core of the VM has been in C since 2004 and now it has been ported to C++.

Fedora servers were indeed hacked if I remember correctly and malicious packets were uploaded but it was detected before they reached the users. Repo security is certainly very important. But well, ultimately you have to trust someone ?

You mean like a console? They are also offering a browser plugin for your PC or Mac so you don't need their box. The box is only required if you want to use your TV and not your computer.

I strongly believe that these things are not trivial to do well yourself and maintaining such an infrastructure will distract you from your core competency. Don't tell that to us here. Say that in a convincing manner on the homepage.

You will note it includes no standard benchmarks and only includes a vague hand-waving claim saying that its orders of magnitude faster. No real world numbers are quoted. Nothing is said about how good the CPU implementation was and so on.
