Not really. This is exactly what happened in the 80s and 90s with Vanilla Ice stealing from David Bowie and Freddie Mercury[1], and MC Hammer stealing from Rick James[2]. It even happened outside of rap with The Verve's Bittersweet Sym

Yeah, I've seen that, too. My experience has been that it takes several seconds to open the file or to switch back to it from another file, but once it's opened, I don't find editing it to be slow.

Yeah, the debugger one I don't get at all. I don't see the same problems in lldb on the command-line. In the past (when it was using gdb) I was told it was due to the data formatters. I would turn them off and the problem would go

I don't mean to sound cynical, but if oft-used man pages haven't already added "EXAMPLES" sections over the last 30 years, how likely is it that they'd add them now? This project exists because man has failed to as

Nice photos! I just got back from a trip to Zion National Park where I shot the Milky Way one night. It was clearly visible with the naked eye every night. National Parks are a great place for night photography because they're usually

Xcode is extremely I/O bound. When it's not compiling, it's indexing. An SSD helps it a lot . (Which isn't to say Xcode doesn't have its problems, including speed. Just that it can be improved with better hardware.

One completely normal developer thing I need to do that involved turning off SIP is setting library and framework paths to debug an executable outside of Xcode. We archive our daily builds so we can regress problems to a specific check-in.

This is my experience, having worked in POS systems for a few years. The customers - especially huge ones like Walmart, Target, USPS - buy these systems on the order of once every 10-20 years for any given store. They don't want to upg

I'm confused. The writer of the article seems to think that modern photographers are unacquainted with the golden ratio. However, it's mentioned in just about any web link on composition just after the "rule of thirds".
