My wife has a similar story. She had a decent dentist for a while but after a botched crown install she was dissatisfied with the response and started looking for a new dentist. Found one that had a nice modern practice. New dentist said

My father worked for 35 years as a carpenter on mega yachts for insanely rich people. Yes it put food on our table in a rural area otherwise devoid of job opportunities. Rich people spending their money isn’t really the problem. It helped p

This is how I read it too. That a fast learners skill is degraded in a field that is constantly reset (software dev) vs one where you can stack knowledge. And thus the fast learners will eventually leave the software field and transition to

Ditch the RPi4 emu idea and get a Mister FPGA. It’s wonderful for retro computers as well and arcade and console games.

My wife is a star seller on Etsy and it hasn’t been hard for her to maintain at all (and she’s never asked for ratings). But she’s also never had even a negative comment made about her product after thousands of sales. I wonder if some pro

You're missing one of the key points of the OP's post, deflation. With fiat currencies, small inflation is a feature not a bug. If goods cost more tomorrow than they do today, it promotes purchasing today not tomorrow. If the e

I had my clock radio set to MPR as well and woke up to them talking about the first plane. Usually the news every morning didn’t register but that day it did. I turned on the TV to see what was going on, which I usually don’t do. After a co

Rural communities don't need to be walkable. I would regularly bike 5+ miles to visit my friends in our rural area (all farm country) and did so about as soon as I learned to ride a bike (6 or 7 years old). Kids biking wherever they w
