We do need HTTP because sometimes public WiFi networks need you to agree to terms before any requests stop being redirected. I recently found http://neverssl.com That being said those public WiFi’s shouldn’t be redirecting sites

Lots of brands seek exposure so direct sales from an ad may not be likely. You might not be wanting to buy something in the moment but next you are looking for something you'll associate that brand. It's quite hard to track though

I know your comment is a joke but, if drones become a thing for herding then we'll just see less sheep dogs bred. This happened with sheep in the US after WW2. Other fibers had been introduced into the market which reduced wool demand.
