I was talking about the players. Studios will have no choice but to support it because gamers will expect it. Just like Sony has been forced to accept cross-play in Fortnite. All it takes is one big game with NFT support to start it.

No, it’s overthinking. The only thing that game developers need to solve is what item to give in return when a player imports something from another game. Could be you import armor and get a pink hat or a banana. It doesn’t need to be the s

Sunk cost fallacy. If someone invested money into a game they might be reluctant to switch to a different game. But what if they can just take their investment with them and import it in another game. Then spend more in the new game.

You’re overthinking it. Nft is a proof of ownership. So you import your Call of Duty armor in Battlefield and you get an equivalent ingame armor. There doesn’t need to be any agreement. The game just needs to know which nft is equivalent

Well yes, that’s exactly my point. I _want_ to be able to reuse crappy passwords because just typing a password is still simpler than dealing with password managers.

For the vast majority of websites password rules are unnecessary. I only care about icloud and gmail, amazon and paypal. I don’t care if my reddit account is “hacked”. Or HN. Or random webshops or whatever. I hate being forced to use stron

Only 13 % of Chinese emissions are caused by production for other countries. That 13 % isn’t just the West but the whole world. > "Despite the large total of CO2 imports and exports, US emissions are only 6% higher and Chinese emiss

Anecdotal: Had covid twice. No heart complaints. Had two vaccine shots. Both times, 10 days after the shot, my heart hurt like hell. Really painful and scary experience. It lasted a couple days and back to normal.

Lets say you’re a Fortnite competitor. To lure people to your game you let them import their Fortnite weapons or clothes and convert them to your game equivalent.

A common narrative but also wrong. Even when we take into account the externalized pollution the US and EU still have lower emissions compared to 30 years ago. 87 % of China’s emissions is caused by their own needs. 13 % for playing factor

China is gonna build 150 reactors in 15 years for 440 billion dollar. They lack the defeatist attitude common in the West and it shows.

I don't think that's important. The media does. Only when a white police officer mistreats or shoots a black person is the media eager to report it, emphasizing the race of everyone involved. When the opposite happens coverage isn
