That may sound cynical but if we agree that software development is a show (bet, entertainment, whatever) for investors in 99%, then microservices are good to keep people excited.

Non-determinism requires some kind of RNG which is truly random (TRNG), right? So the next value can't be calculated from the previous one. This means all values of truly random RNG just exist as we don't need to iterate all of th

Both teleportation and Death Star are impossible with current technology, but the folks anyway are building the Death Star?

I hope the future of interstellar travel is not these gigantic starships. It's like starting a project of building a gigantic Zeppelin in 1900 in order to get able to get to moon in 100 years. Teleportation seems more convinient to me

I think it depends on what kind of code mess you prefer - client side or backend. I personally prefer to mess up on the backend, feels much more comfortable to me to fix it up and write tests.

You are right. I could re-phrase my comment - all statements about the future which don't contain notion of probability are pure gambling.

Imo if a statement about the future doesn't contain word "probably" - it is probably wrong.

My point is, we are trying to get workaround for the impossibility of reaching consensus and absence of political will with some complex tech. Probably we'll manage to do it this time with fusion. But this is a dead end in the long run
