Seriously. This was very surprising to see. I had to double take the source.

Same boat here. I can't escape Facebook and Google. I use something, it get acquired by one of them. I'm glad I'm not alone.

I'd be curious to see how well Elastic Search holds up to Endeca. I'm currently stuck maintaining some Endeca instances and it's a nightmare. I wish I could go back to ES. At my last place of work, ES was beautiful and requir

The thing I love most about her work is it's witty, but to the point and I can always understand it. I'm not a big fan of the tl;dr movement, but I also don't like dauntingly long blog posts. Nails it every time. Hats off!

I'm not seeing any red on that status page, but the service is definitely down for me. It is a firm reminder that Google is not bullet-proof.

wget -O - https://example.com/install.sh | vim A work around I've been using for a while. I then :saveas and execute it myself once I verify it's not doing anything fishy.

As a systems engineer, I'm stuck using (mostly) vanilla bash. I'd love to dabble in fish or zsh, but anytime I start it becomes a waste of time. Upside is I know bash ins and outs :). I'm usually the one-liner wizard of the o

Does anyone know how they fixed this in sudo? I would be interested in knowing how they do a TTL without using the system time for comparison.

The reply right under mine seems to be a reply to you. It has a stackoverflow link that shows you how to setup two URLs in your origin remote.

My System76 has that resolution and I hate it. I thought it was going to be okay, but it's not. I won't make that mistake again. A tiling window manager helped, but I still cry from time to time when I think about it. /me goes and cries.

Not an expert here: Will all those PHP projects in the wild work with MariaDB? Everytime a friend needs a blog or wiki I have to make sure MySQL is installed because it seems few people who make PHP projects allow other backends. I'd love t
