The boxee software itself hasn't been updated in a year at this point. I honestly don't care for all these extraneous bits and pieces if they can't even ship the base system in any real timeframe.

After many years, the sad truth is that wysywig editors are only as useful as the output generated when users copy and paste from word documents, which is what I have found the vast majority of input from actual end users to be. Not support

We've had great success with using ElasticSearch to index our couch db databases in near realtime into it's lucene indexes, and then querying those. It allows each tool to focus on what it does well.

This is definitely the direction i see things going. Node.js is also perfectly suited for it, and I recall hearing that it's also on the core team's mind.
