So yeah, they’re doing rough… Not sure what the path out here is? Seems like either finding deep pockets that care about their work or some new revenue stream, but without the cash to fund it I’m not sure how.

Intel is so fucked it’s not even slightly funny. Anyone who disagrees, do the most basic research possible by reviewing their benchmarks. It’s like going back in time.

I want to believe, but in the meantime they’re killing the product I’ve been working hard to build trust with my own customers though. There is a limit to my idealism, and it’s well and truly in the past.

I mean, i made the remark and I feel the same as you. I think its just the reality of the world we live in. A lot of people are mobile first, watching a neighbours kid try use a mouse the other day really drilled it home for me. Put her on

Yeah, that's fair. I just don't have a habit of doing that so for me the GPX thing while good is a change in behaviour that limits me from adopting this app / exploring new trails. Also on further thought, i could see myself

Interesting assumption. My mind goes to to a) Most people are mobile first and b) In this category of app, i imagine people want the route with them on their phone as they bike (as they're probably unfamiliar with the route, hence the

That’s a good point I’d agree with. I got downvoted pretty hard the parent comment, but honestly no regrets, I’ve got points to burn…especially when it comes to hurting the feelings of amateur HR team members hurt feelings.

Just a gripe: so many jobs, so few pay ranges. I thought it was almost 2025?? I’m not looking but seeing my wife waste so much time (and the companies time) with jobs that don’t explain what they’re offering, it’s just disappointing.

For real? On mobile the feature menus open up and above my scroll view. Also before the first paint finished the layout shifted. Don’t get me started on the middle my browser cookie window that blocked the entire page…

Hahahaha that’s a hilarious idea. I once applied to a company just to fix the fact that they banned emailing my domain name because it briefly had a lapse in registration. It was preventing me doing password recovery…they ended up fixing it

This reminds me of things my dad says about his old Chrysler Valiant, “i love turning the car over, adjusting the choke, and hearing it catch on a cold winters morning”. To me it was just inconvenient, and to him too, but now he looks back

So this is super cool but i am questioning its reliability after playing a song from Spotify on my Sonos and then letting the app listen: the result was 0.1% too slow? I guess that’s a very small difference, what’s the degree of error to ex

I'm glad you said this. As someone that has written his fair share of raw html, php and js, it's a bit misleading to associate react and these issues. I'm writing in nextjs / react these days, and it's amazing...but

I am pretty taken back by this remark. In terms of measuring impact to someone’s life and surviving the startup grind, MRR is probably very relevant at both measuring progress and the financial viability of your efforts. Can you elaborate o

This is so my experience. Also when you can just declare something as “any” and effectively say f it to the entire concept they’re trying to enforce…what’s the point? From time to time human nature takes over and you use any, and the diseas

Depends where you are. Gas is certainly not cheaper for us. I did the math based on cost per KWH of fuel consumed v's the efficiency of the unit producing it. Natural gas would be slightly more expensive (marginal though...2% or so) bu
