Yeah, that is how I saw it too. But honestly, not everyone thinks the same or wants to start a company...for some people not buying right away could just cost them more in the long run i suppose. Personally I feel even in that case the life

The last time I touched on this with our legal team (and it was not related to GDPR, it was just related to data storage of EU Citizens) the storage location was a very relevant key point. Having said that, what about CDN's? I'm c

This is an excellent question. I feel like the right to be deleted/forgotten is certainly not supported by the current implementation, and the relationship to a VC fund certainly could introduce an element of this being an attractive t

Yeah sadly true. 1) Australia, but we started it in Canada. 2) Again true, lots of friends opted to buy houses etc, but i felt it was going to limit me so i avoided this form of debt, and thankfully so as servicing it would have probably pr

FTFY? I feel like this is the first time I’ve seen that one. Googled it, “fixed that for you”. Interesting.

Yeah i have no good advice other than to buy into the indexes. If you’re picking stocks it better be for fun, in my case that’s what it is.

~$160 - I’ll sit on these for years, the price here is likely irrelevant to the long term.

I agree with the above two remarks. In my situation the money i “experiment” with at an individual stock level is not relevant to my end of work plan. I assume the spend is as healthy as buying a sports car, and while I’d love to be wrong,

I’m not totally stupid (just a little...), of course they have been relevant for a long time, but i think their ability to be a differentiator in what people choose to pay for exponentially deminishes as time passes. They will matter to som

Yeah i disagree. In 20 years, the Beatles and ac/dc will be less relevant and easier to live without. If Spotify start their own content channels now, and i imagine they have, the situation could easily be reversed, where they have exc

So i bought in, who knows where this will go though :) One of my hopes it that just like NFLX, once the company focuses on producing / licensing it's own content they can do really well. I'm interested in hearing what others

I’m pretty sure the answer is simple: TVs are hard to make, mattresses are very simple. Foam latex, it’s pretty much the simplest product you can fit in a box, and damage is probably not a concern as the product itself is what we use to pro

Is it just me, or would a demo really make this posting much more interesting? Edit: There is one, on the actual Google Cloud Text-To-Speech page, so a few clicks in and you'll get one.

I’m super curious, how much was the original investment YC made (i assume 50k?) and what is that share worth today as they IPO?

Totally! I would never suggest otherwise. My point is that animals appearing in your rides as a driver shouldn't come as a surprise. Example: UberX, do you reserve a seat for your service dog, or do you just select 1 seat? There should

Sharing these is very hard as the URL takes the b64 content and most places i've tried to send this don't take URL's this long (i cannot even shorten it with bitly or our internal url shortener). It'd be nice if it took
