Only in priston engines, and it’s mostly due to the fact that changing the engines, which are currently reliable and in many cases have been for decades, could introduce new issues. It’s a snails pace industry due to safety and reliability

I recall paying around $1/gb in ~2006, and that was for a 5400rpm drive (and I’m sure the older members here will say something in the mb range). So while i agree, the rate we have come to expect value to increase isn’t continuing on t

I’ve got from good sources that in Canada the RCMP is (...was several years ago) already doing exactly this. And it’s very easy to do since the exchange in question requires ID to create your account.

I own two rental units, in one of them very recently the washing machine "stopped spinning". Upon investigation i found out it was just a belt on the inside, which after some struggling with I was able to repair. Belt cost me $75

Magnetic field, ah! Right so, interestingly does that mean a polar shift (that every now and again people rave about) might have larger implications than breaking electronics? Ie massive water loss? I feel like it would depend what the pole

I have to admit i know nothing about this, so i want to ask what feels like a dumb question: What stops water from evaporating into space? I feel like the answer is something simple like "gravity", or "condensation", but

They’re a super exploited group, often new immigrants too. Many times they “rent” the car, paying a daily fee for the seat, and then get to collect all the income for the day. Many times it means working 7-8 hours before making any returns

Id like to see the same study done to taxi drivers. I suspect the situation is no better if you look at their return on invested time and money. The concern you suspected is the same one I suspected too. In 2015 i did some uber driving for

well good news isn’t i don’t haha! I guess that makes more sense, but even in currency speculation there is a clear relationship to a country. If that doesn’t impact it, then i guess that is reasonable...i still hate t1135s!

How does one even correctly report these earnings: In Canada there is a form called a T1135, i was filling mine out today :) This form asks for a few key things related to any securities you hold in foreign countries: 1) Max Fair Market Val

Yep this is me. I would require some pretty amazing reasons to even consider using Mongo again. Especially now all other relational databases i trust support json column types.

This was my first reaction. I don’t see why a company would allow this, it could easily put them in a tight spot if they were trying to raise capital at the same time.

Of course, but my real concern is the possibility that this happens and is not in a NOTAM.

As a private pilot, this is the kind of thing that makes me scared to fly without being well versed on radio nav aids. I feel like i know them well, but honestly i use them so rarely in practice it would likely be an uncomfortable situation

Approximately 7 years ago I applied to YC, and rightly so I was rejected [our idea sucked, our presentation of it sucked even more...i had a lot to learn in general]. Having said that, given how far the world has changed in that time, but h

Also, it’s rarely one persons fault, and the next human is likely going to fail in similar (or worse, different!) ways to the previous human. Process controls variables like this, there is obviously an issue that we can learn from here and

Do people give you trouble for riding in bike lanes? I know here in Toronto people hate the Vespa-like ebikes. They’re too slow for cars lanes, endangering the rider, and too fast for bike lanes, endangering bikers. Personally, i feel like

Same! I have a Honeywell airpurifier that has a physical switch, wouldn’t risk “upgrading” it as it’s perfect with a smart outlet (turns on only when no one is home!)

While I agree with everything you said, I would add that I think the US government is being anti-competitive here and a bit underhanded. Boeing has historically got a pretty sweet deal from the US government [1] in tax breaks, $8.7B worth!

Yep that certain does a decent job. I’ve been measuring for around 18 months now, my surprise finding is that only in the last few months has it gone up over 150 for the first time. I’d encourage you to do both if possible.
