I like this advice. Unless you have a very large capital base, houses are a great way to reduce your optionality in many ways.

I’m all for the experiment, something tells me the expiration of something important will pass (maybe an important civil liberty?) and we might realize law makers intentionally delayed and let it lapse? I just think it comes with some side

Yeah, it sounds like a hell of a lot of work to re-evaluate every law every X number of years. Probably not the best use of time...

Ha yeah i thought it meant “friend of mine”. And now i read it again i see “mine” is written, so maybe I’m just in wake up brain and not reading right. That was a fun waste of everyone’s time, sorry ha!

Is “om” a common abbreviation? This is the first time I’m seeing it, i understood, but still new to me. Sorry for the off topic question!

Not familiar with the reasons why the lead ban or rohs would be an issue for the environment, can you point me in the right direction? They seem like positive moves on the surface, but I’m sure they’re not as straightforward as I’d like.

Totally a poor source of data, but i'm presently shocked by the number of my friends moving to the west coat. I decided id spend the summer in Victoria, and it appears 4 other friends, without having discussed it with each other are al

I came here to say exactly this. I'm in Toronto Canada and just renovated a duplex, i was required to install ERV's to exchange the air. VOC's from off-gassing is unavoidable with present building materials, so the best we ca

There are two types of houses: The house you live in, and the house you rent to others (and sometimes one house is a mix of the two). One of these is an investment, one is an expense. If you can get on board with that mindset, you'll b

"It is so unsanitary." Is it really that bad? As in, so bad it justifies the amount of waste the alternatives produce? I'm sure it's not the worst thing you deal with on a daily basis i.e. door handles are pretty gross.

Yeah the 787 is a very different plane, and imo a lovely flying experience as a passenger. Less noise, lower cabin altitude, spacious cabin, modern passenger cabin tech...it's great! I hope it's safe, but frankly after whats happe
