Unfortunately, I am unable to read the article on my phone. The code examples do not render properly. They extend off the left and right sides clipping most of the code. Some sort of word wrap or shrinkage might be better.

Very good point! I find the structure of modern Fortran very clear (although somewhat verbose compared to same python).

This seems to be more of a story of a flawed interview process. The author claims all the interviews when very well. This suggests their questions are not substantive enough to actually distinguish an experienced candidate from others. Alte

Fortran is still going strong with Fortran 2008. And even better, it’s backwards compatible still with Fortran 77.

How are recommendation algorithms robbing anyone? I can understand a credit score algorithm denying a loan as potentially robbing. Recommendations seem at the worst to be as annoying as a poorly curated catalogue. Am I missing something?

The indented quote renders as a code block and isn’t readable on mobile. I like your reference, so it might be nice to change to formatting for easier reading on mobile.

FYI, your quote renders as a fixed-width font code block and does not word wrap on mobile. It makes the text very hard to read. For mobile user’s benefit, a different quotation method would be better.

The website was unusable for me. I find the topic super interesting, but it’s not worth the extra time to parse. Not the least of which is that on mobile the font sizes were strange and the text poorly placed. Edit: typos.

Ageed! It was too painful to read on my phone. Dark red on black is a questionable design choice. I appreciate the desire to standout, but usability should trump style.

The Just Simulate It principle is super practical. I once sat through a talk by a principal engineer who’s talk was based on that premise.

I won’t say I’m from the AI community, but I’ve been wanting to take a stab at the basics and I have a science background. If you’re interested I’d be happy to chat and see if I could contribute.
