It feels like there could be an entire longform piece on how "modern" web development norms arose because hobbyist/student web developers learned everything in an ad-hoc, local environment without access to, you know, a devel

I've been using Herdr for a while now, but I'd like a multiplexer that's also a meta-harness that I can connect to remotely. I know others have setups that work, I just haven't quite figured it out yet.

I see your point, but Anthropic and OpenAI are not only less efficient, they have much higher operating expenses because of their massive AWS/GCP spending (due to not owning it) and have more capital expenditures than everybody else. I

Exactly. The more competitive the space is, the more important it is that products purposefully support 3rd-party providers. Now that people are increasingly switching from Anthropic/OpenAI for inference reseellers and on-prem compute,

Their marketing materials emphasize inter-agent communication, but that's hardly unique to Antigravity. Either way, it's not BYOK, so there's already a substantial reason not to use it if you're deploying multiple agents

There's no evidence they're making money, and we already know from the projected datacenter capacity in a few years that there will be for more supply than demand, so the major providers will have to repay that debt. Even if they

Or they can just transition to Cloudflare OS and keep their domain-specific data proprietary, which is where the money is in the first place.

> Cloudflare OS is available today and is open source. Check out the cloudflare-os GitHub repository. You can deploy it into your own Cloudflare account and use your own Access policies, AI Gateway configuration, data, and integrations.

Good distinction. The demand is partially driven by the low costs, which are only low because the major providers are losing money.

I wouldn’t assume the cause of the replication crisis is 100% due to a lack of rigor in psychology and the other relevant fields. These fields deal with concepts and phenomena that are often abstract and difficult to measure. In some sense,

Local models on regular hardware aren't really capable of anything. Whatever you're testing is nowhere near a measly $20/mo subscription, so it's of limited use.

Many developers have narrow job descriptions, and the creative, productive uses of AI aren’t really obvious. Where it shines is glueing systems together or building one-off automations that would take days, or weeks, to figure out. It’s for

Again, if you don't want things ruined, then that implies that you don't think football, in its current state, is not already ruined. This isn't a position you've earned, you're just assuming it. And it's awkwa

This is a straightforward false equivalency. “Western” models do not censor in the same way, nor for the same reasons, that the Chinese models do. “Just as much” is not remotely plausible, yet it’s doing all the heavy lifting.

I'm American, so I'm not sure who your comment is for. Anti-Americanism isn't a "gotcha" to me. If anything, it's confirmation of the persistent asymmetry in these discussions. Football (or basketball, if you&#

By this reasoning, are regular football fans really "sports people?" They tolerate wildly inconsistent officiating and diving (and other forms of unsportsmanlike conduct) that occur at every level of the game. Disrupting the pace

I think your attitude, which is all too common, is that we should do things according to the "footballing nations" without any other consideration for the rest of the world. North America is part of the world. The US itself is far

Opus/Fable 5 (or really, any thinking model) do a better job of refactoring than Sonnet would. I think the takeaways are still valid, just not as valid when using a more expensive model at a higher effort level.

The nature of these laws are conceptually different, and I think to not see that is willfully obtuse. You are conflating these distinctions for rhetorical purposes.

For me, it's the single session limit. With the $20/mo plan, I had to manage it very carefully. And it only works if you're babysitting a single prompt instead of having 4-5 going at once.

This is a good point. You need to immerse yourself in a Max plan for at least a month, ideally much longer, to understand where the benefits are. If you don't have the flexibility to regularly push your context to 1M, or do elaborate x

The restrictions aren't symmetric at all. Chinese models have government-enforced censorship, while American models have security and legal restrictions.
