If piracy isn't morally equivalent to theft, then I'm not sure how adblocking would be. Personally I think there is a stronger argument that dirtying up the Internet with advertising is more immoral than piracy.

Firefox are not blocking the limitations of declarativeNetRequest. They are picking and choosing the good parts of V3 and implementing those.

If that happened, Europe and NATO would retake and partition Kaliningrad. Russia cannot sustain that level of military force so close to the rest of the European powers.

Yandex employees are among the tech elite in Russia—overwhelmingly well-educated, liberal, and cosmopolitan. They were opposed to the Crimea invasion in 2014. You haven't done your homework.

Why are you so attached to recent history? Populations and cultures have always been in flux throughout Africa, Europe, and Asia. Nearly every language and religion that have ever existed are now extinct. You don't get Italians, Indian

I can sympathize with the author. I once attempted Hugo and gave up after a few hours and proceeded with vanilla PHP, which for most contexts is better and easier than any static site generator.

Yes, I remember this well. I put an unpatched Windows 2000 machine on the network, and the system logs were littered with intrusion attempts—more than 500—after being online for a few minutes.

I paid my deposit within the first 15 minutes of the preorder, and my reservation was still pushed to Q2 2022. I'm not sure if this means the demand was initially high or if the first shipments will be limited. Probably both. Either wa

There is no apples to apples comparison in the first place. Most of Canada is sparsely inhabited or uninhabitable. Unlike the US, there are far fewer places to live besides the major metro areas. SF and NYC are not good comparisons either.

You could be right. It's just a little less obvious to me what problem VR solves, as opposed to the other technologies you mentioned.

I think this speaks more to their decline and gimmicky quality than their ubiquity. People try it out VR, have fun, and are over it quickly. If we look on Steam, less than 5% of users have a VR headset. And Steam users are outliers already.

On the other hand, significant merit raises (over 3%) are mostly a thing of the past. Workers that gradually improve at their job are paid less and less each year. If you increase pay regularly on a semi-fixed schedule, you at least solve t

I don't think the headline matches the post. Usually when we refer to systems being "insecure" and "compromised", we mean so with respect to a third party. A better headline might be: ProtonMail supports full E2EE,

Which is fair, but then it becomes more of a luck-based game because the luckiest first guesses will always yield the fastest 2/6 or 3/6 results. I play in an office of 60+ and first guess determines the winner most of the time.
