TRPs are so good and so cheap. I rode Shimano XT for years, and the TRP is the only thing I’ve experienced that is better quality and more reliable while not being outlandishly expensive. Super happy with them! Cable discs, while better tha

It's great for front of house staff but the inventory control/back of house feature set is extremely limited (disclaimer: I moved off of using Aloha day to day in 2016).

I’ve used many point of sale systems, and in my experience, POS usually stands for three other words. I found Aloha great in some respects (usability on the floor) and poor in others (inventory control). Haven’t found a perfect system yet!

The Hobbit movies are far more egregious in their use of bad CGI than the original trilogy. That river scene is one of the worst offenders in modern movie history for me.

No doubt, and I definitely can’t speak to how it is to date as a short/nonwhite guy other than what I know from my friends. My comments are more directed towards the economic side of this discussion, which started to veer into the “wom

Your view of the (lack of) intrinsic value in the enjoyment of hobbies is off putting. Maybe try a hobby that you enjoy just for the heck of it rather than to check a box on your personal brand? Guaranteed that being legitimately interested

I agree with you 100% and have to say that the replies on this particular thread are some of the most toxic I’ve ever read here on HN, and completely indicative of both what you describe as well as my own observations from living here in th

I’m having trouble parsing the second part of your response. Would you mind rephrasing it? My point being that Cicero was free from a life of (physical) labor only because of the presence of these laborers/slaves. Property ownership en
