The article is quite clear on what the issue is. Meta needs explicit consent to do this kind of targeting. With consent, there is no issue. The tracking itself is not illegal, but doing it without consent is illegal.

I get all the hesitancy in the comments here about the freedom of an adult to have a cigarette. However, smoking is a case where; if you're having a smoke at the same bus stop as me, I am inhaling that crap too.

This is my point exactly. The model is trained without any prior domain knowledge at all. It only has access to a game world where the constrains in the world is a representation of the game's rules.

You are talking about AlphaGo. AlphaZero was not given any prior knowledge of the game and is trained exclusively through self-play -- and it outperforms Monte Carlo tree search-based systems such as AlphaGo and Stockfish in chess 100-0 wit
