For hackers, pants are not so incredibly useful. However, I'm guessing this company is not targeting computer professionals as their target market. If you're doing long distance cycling or you're a backpack/hiking kind

Obviously one can also make that same argument for electric cars like the tesla, or SSDs when they were first released. The intel X18-M 80GB SSD was $700 when it was first released in 2008. New tech always starts out with low demand and h

I don't think decrim feeds crime syndicates. California has had decrim for cannabis for a long while now. Dealers can't really make money selling cannabis because it's already so cheap at dispensaries. Most of these dealer

I don't see how legalizing drugs would cause the country to enter a shit hole? The people who buy drugs now can already do it via SR or other marketplaces, but legalizing it would significantly reduce crime. There are other countries

I just don't understand how a company the size of Joyent would waste time writing blog posts about pronouns in a code comment. This would be the equivalent of Microsoft blogging about some engineer's code comment in the Windows s

If you read the github thread, you'd see that Ben actually never participated in the drama/discussion until it blew up. Ben essentially rejected the pull request, then a giant PR nightmare blew up overnight with blog posts from J

I feel like there must be others who share the responsibility. There's no way a single chemist could be the source of 34,000 convictions. Since they found a second chemist tainting the results at the lab, I'm guessing the entire

Yeah, based on the email content from the prosecutors, it looks like they were in on it too. How does a 50lbs package of marijuana magically become 80lbs as requested by the prosecutor? It sounds like the entire system is corrupt.

Hm, at what point is hardware separate from software? When you write some C code that gets loaded on the Attiny85 chip, is that still considered software? Many SoCs come with the firmware already loaded so it just looks like a normal cpu

It is rare to "brick" your PC by installing linux/windows. Phones are different because their input/output interfaces are limited to a single usb port, and in many cases that usb port doesn't even support host mode

Too late for that, unless they find a 3rd party judging group. There's no way people will think salesforce is being fair on the 2nd round of judging.

When a doctor misinterprets the results, it can be mentally destructive for everyone, even if you're completely stable. When my dad's doctor told him he had cancer, it completely changed all of our family gatherings. Thankfully

Yes, but you can't send your friend the surfly link. You have to ask your friend to also install the addon before you can collaborate on the same website. Extensions are cool, but not practical in the real world scenario.
