i used to hear about Demon internet in the old counter-strike days :D shame these smaller players get put down like that. A lot of these bigger ones like kPN in our case believe that all will become just a small handful of big corporations.

i moved also to ziggo. kpn has got shit lines. ziggo is not too bad these days and kpn only breaks good things. look at their track record of company take overs and you will see what i mean.

if you cannot 'see' the commands and passwords etc., then a malicious interuder can also not see it. you need to build it with in mind that you will be owned. if you design it like that, then most of the complaints you have gotten

you can patch binaries to fix memory corruption issues :D compiler flags won't help on already compiled softwares, and if they are yet to be compiled, the sources could be improved... that being said i'm not against these compiler
