How does it track time? Is it possible that user will just change current time to the future to instantly process the request? Is it possible to track time "safely"?

I think that there's a "time window" right now, before most people realized the scale of AI. Those who jump there first, can monetize it. It certainly won't last forever, but you can earn some money while it lasts. And y

We will optimize it later, we don't have time for that right now, it seems it works fast enough for our needs right now. "Later" never comes and all critical performance issues are either ignored, hot-patched externally with

My two most common problems: 1. Need to change IP as soon as possible, but DNS record has huge TTL (e.g. 24h). 2. Client ISP DNS does not resolve my domain and it's absolutely not clear how to proceed from here. I don't have conne

I encountered FRAM chips in one PCB I worked with. It's like flash, but holds data forever and does not wear. One could easily create usb drive of small capacity using these chips. They are a bit expensive, but that longevity could be

Most of cheating is botting. When bots farm dungeons or other activities, earn gold and then that gold is being sold at black markets for dollars to other players. That's indirectly hindering other players progression, because it cause

I'm playing WoW and I've heard lots of compains about Blizzard banning innocent players. Just recently there was a wave of complains that they banned players who spent a lot of time farming one dungeon (like 10+ hours per day). I,

At this point I think that AI will perform human duties better than human. So probably it's better to let AI autonomously jail people, of course with all the necessary procedures as required by law.

Compiler is not 100% deterministic. Its output can change when you upgrade its version, its output can change when you change optimization options. Using profile-guided optimization can also change between runs.

I didn't say about 16 random bytes. But you're almost there. You generate 16 random bytes and perform few bitwise operations to set version and variant bits correctly. Not that it matters. I don't even think that there's

Some things are actually hard to implement. I'd spent a lot of time trying to implement concurrent hashmap, for example. UUID is not one of these things.

UUID is just array of 16 bytes or two 64-bit ints. Generating UUIDv4 is like few lines of code. Is that a big deal? I don't think so.

That's exactly what's happening on Anniversary servers. They crammed like 20 servers into one megaserver, so there are like 100 000 players on the same server and you're very unlikely to meet the same person twice.
