It's great for hardware implementations, because it's simple and you get good/excellent accuracy. I wouldn't be surprised if that's still how modern x86-64 CPUs compute sin, cos, etc. That said, last time I had to d

I've spent ~$7000 on Apple products last year. I think it'll be $0 this year and going forward. Tired of this kind of crap. (Not only this, but Apple's behavior with EU, etc.)

Niagara-style (at least T1) design would have never worked in an application like this, because it compromised FPU power for the core count. 8 cores shared one FPU! Niagara (all designs) heavily compromised single-thread performance, whic

Not perfect, but a pretty good resource. I referenced this a lot while developing a USB device driver and a USB stack on the device side.

No doubt about that. Also my fiber optic connection latency increases a bit under load.

I've seen LTE latencies (not 5G) as low as 15 ms for 5+ years. Not saying it's typically that good, but that it can be significantly better than what you're saying.

Sadly, FUSE is far from fast. Great for quick fixes though, it's crazy to be able to locally mount a disk image that sits on the other side of the world on an HTTP server.

Transportation might be an issue. That's why a lot of natural gas is flared and not sold – selling it is often uneconomical.

Just skimmed the paper ( https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/advs.202305298 ). In section 3.1 cycle life did not really convince me. Eyeballing the chart, on cycle 200, just 82.5% of the capacity remained.

For example Amiga and most 16-bit consoles could just have two (or more) playfields (like layers or screen size sprites) superimposed on each other. For the game code those pixels would still be "black", well, transparent, even wi

What makes you think the processor will fault? Many small µc architectures don't fault at any point. If you have an MPU or an MMU (which is generally true for 32-bit microcontrollers), you can just set a range to fault a standard downw
