I think blocking traffic from a domain into your inbox would be a better way to handle this without regulation.

Why not? Because they’re going to run out of money before the development is complete? Because developing such product is impossible?

I think humans are excellent survivors. I don’t lose sleep over externalities because of that alone. What I mean by that is that once people realise their daily lives are being affected by a negative externality, they start making decisions

You can’t just say that without acknowledging the fact that people find their products valuable enough to purchase.

I’ve studied economics for years and I’m still of the opinion that the only government intervention to the market should be breaking monopolies and cartels. I’m waiting for a piece of literature that would convince me otherwise, maybe you c

It’s funny because I was you for 25 years. I then got an iPhone and an M1 MacBook and never looked back. The Apple ecosystem doesn’t have competition, and products are very high quality. Then again, Apple is one of the most valuable compani

You’re wrong, it matters. That’s not even important, though. They pay the same taxes everyone else does when they sell their assets. Selling large amounts of shares comes with its own problems as well, and often it’s not a rational thing to

Borrowing money in exchange for interest is a fair transaction. Taxes on the interest are paid by the company that lent the money. Suggesting anything else would be interfering with the market which is dangerous territory.

Funny that you’d take this route. I’d just lower capital gains tax rates.

Everyone is a self-made man. You’re responsible for your own shortcomings and successes. Life is a single player game, since you only have access to your own thoughts and actions.

This is just a strawman. Tesla is developing an autonomous robot, not a remote controlled one.

You don’t seem to be serious, but your Optimus would be used for tasks that can’t be automated otherwise.

The race to full self driving is not going to be close. Tesla has no competition. The anti-Tesla sentiment here is hilarious to watch though. All because this place is largely leftist, and their CEO is on the right.

I love fatty meat and salt. I can’t think of many things better than that. It’s also the only staple us and our ancestors have eaten for millions of years.

It’s not the only thing. You can eat any meat, eggs, or many dairy products. Probably most fruit is fine too, although I don’t eat carbs myself. Yes, all the processed grains and seed oils and artificial sweeteners and chemicals should neve

And I’ll promise you the opposite. Meat has everything you need. You could try it for say, two weeks. I’ve done it for two years, so nothing super crazy can happen in two weeks.

Get ground beef in the supermarket, it’s cheap and takes 7 minutes to cook. If that’s all you eat you can’t be fat and out of shape. You also won’t be hungry. At some point blaming society isn’t going to cut it.

If I had to defend GP’s argument that I didn’t make, I’d say something along the lines of our fundamental understanding of the world is built on other premises than it will be for the next generation.
