I'll be off-topic with you. Your scenario seems a little different, because I could still shop with dollars at the 49% of stores that still like me. Whereas if bitcoin replaced dollars, even those 49% of stores that liked me couldn&#

I've seen this explanation a million times, and I don't think it's very good. Here is one that sounds almost as plausible yet yields the opposite result: Divide the doors into two sets. The first set is the door you chose a

It sounds like CTF (which I'm admittedly only peripherally aware of through exposure to dtrace) is not really a viable replacement for most DWARF use cases then, right? Why is the size comparison valid?

Apple does this too. Run "strings" on various libraries in Apple's OSes and you will find plenty of instances of bundle identifiers of non-Apple apps.

C has this same problem. Most of the C standard library is unsafe to use between fork and exec of a multithreaded program. This usually includes malloc and printf.

Mach did not separate BSD into userland (like a true "microkernel") until 3.0. NeXTSTEP did not use Mach 3.0. Mac OS X still has the BSD code in the kernel.
